On Monday, the Pakistani rupee appreciated by 9 paisas against the US dollar, closing at Rs 278.41 compared to the previous day’s Rs 278.50 in interbank trading.
In the open market, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates for the dollar were Rs 278.60 and Rs 280.10, respectively.
The Euro rose by Rs 1.56 to end the day at Rs 311.24, up from Rs 309.68 the previous day, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen increased by 3 paisas, closing at Rs 1.93, while the British Pound saw a rise of Rs 2, trading at Rs 367.35 compared to Rs 365.35 previously.
The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal both decreased by 2 paisas, closing at Rs 75.80 and Rs 74.20, respectively.
