Brief Summary of the Book
This was a lovely story of how, after being rejected in love, Arizona seized the opportunity to relocate to a new place and play ball. She had a crush on our man Layton since she was a teenager, so that was something she wasn’t prepared for. Then he sees her, tries to score with her to ostensibly add a notch to his belt, without even asking who she is. However, their relationship seems too wonderful to be true. Then, due to the sudden turn of affairs, he abandons her. The owners of her softball team then want her to pretend to date Layton the next day in order to spark interest in the squad. Something she made a self-promise to never do again in her life. Will this be the one where her emotions fully overwhelm her and push her over?It’s Layton who is nearing the end of his career, and you know the rest. I mean, “Hello guy, can I wear your jersey?” This guy is simply an alpha cinnamon roll for me. He’s a decent man all around, but he’s pure fire and sin. You can’t help but desire more of this amazing story that these two are weaving. Reading about couples that have a clear idea of what they want and won’t compromise for is really energizing. And AK fulfills. And the sultry moments in this one, whoa, this is a must-read. “Go commando too” saves a ton of money on laundry, PS. Did you catch a specific name as well?
