The female students were instructed to dress modestly, especially in cotton clothing, while the male students were now expected to wear formal shirts and pants.The Government College University (GCU) in Lahore has implemented a rigorous “dress code” for its students, as the management has declared that jeans and T-shirts are not permitted on campus.
An official announcement was also released by the GCU administration.
The administration made it clear that the goal of these new policies is to uphold decorum and establish discipline on campus.The organization has made it plain that students are required to dress appropriately and that there are consequences for breaking the dress code.Proctors are authorized to check students’ clothing on university property, and any who are found to be in breach will be penalized, according to the instructions.
